Environmental and Spiritual Concerns

We have a duty towards our mother earth. The concern that we show towards nature directly measures our respect and love for God's creation. Living by discounting the future deprives the coming generations of their right to a peaceful and healthy life on this planet. Our ecological concerns are thus directly linked to our spirituality, and it becomes our social and moral obligation to preserve this universal home called the Planet.

Punyam Poonkavanam

As the Special officer in charge of Sabarimala, environmental pollution at the holy shrine appalled him. By interlinking spirituality & environmental protection, he initiated PunyamPoonkavanam to educate pilgrims to adopt environmentally responsible practices & protect the sacred abode. PM Shri Narendra Modi profusely appreciated this program in his ‘Mann kiBaat’ on 31st December 2018. It is now being extended to other pilgrim centers across India.
