Our Responsibility to Children (ORC)

In 2010, a group of 60 school children was taken into custody for various criminal offenses in Kozhikode. Diving deep into the reasons for behavioral deviation among children, he devised Our Responsibility to Children (ORC), aimed at corrective action. It engaged Parents/Teachers/Police to identify children with deviant behavior; support them with psycho-social interventions & reintegrate them into the mainstream. Implemented in 340 schools, ORC transformed more than 12,000 children.

School Protection Groups (SPG)

He had devised a School Protection Group (SPG) comprising of parents, school heads, community members, and members from the Police Force. The main aim of this group is to ensure safe & secure school neighborhoods; to protect our children from the clutches of anti-social groups and prevent them from socially deviant behavior.

Child-Friendly Police Stations

He spearheaded Children & Police (CAP) initiative to prevent abuse & violence against children. CAP supports police stations to transform into child-friendly & provide effective & friendly services to children & their guardians.

Chiri Helpline

Chiri (Smile) is a dedicated helpline for children to report & seek support on issues exacerbated by the pandemic.
