P Vijayan IPS, is currently serving as the Additional Director General of Police(Intelligence). P. Vijayan IPS is a 1999 Batch Indian Police Service Officer of Kerala Cadre, who is at present holding the rank of Additional Director General of Police. He is recognised for many changemaking social initiatives launched under the Kerala Police - like the Student Police Cadet Project, Our Responsibility to Children and now globally acclaimed Punyam Poonkavanam Project, which brought about a behavioural change at Sabarimala pilgrimage and won profuse appreciation from Sri. Narendra Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, in his ‘Mann ki Bath’ on December 31, 2017.
